Terms of membership

Last updated 4 October 2026

These terms govern membership of the European Industrial Property Association (“EIREA”, “we”). By applying for membership you agree to them.

1. Membership grades

Membership is personal to the individual. EIREA offers it in two grades:

  • Member (M.EIREA) — for practising industrial and logistics property agents. The register, the training and CPD, cross-border coverage and entry to the EIREA Awards.
  • Fellow (F.EIREA) — for principals, senior practitioners and recognised specialists. Adds the tools desk and the market data. Fellowship is held for a term of twelve months, paid in advance and renewed annually.

Being listed in the register, and verifying your own entry, are free. They are not grades of membership.

Entry to the EIREA Awards is a benefit of Member membership and above. It is not available on a free listing.

Post-nominals may be used only while membership is current and in good standing.

1A. Terms of payment

Membership is charged for a period: monthly for a Member, or twelve months in advance for a Fellow. A membership runs to the end of the period paid for and is not terminated mid-term.

Prepaid is prepaid. Where a membership has been paid in advance, the fee is non-refundable — in whole or in part — if the member stops before the end of the term. Where a membership is paid monthly, it ends at the end of the last month paid for.

On the end of a membership, whatever the reason, the member's standing ends with it: the designation, the register badge and the priority placement are removed, and the register entry reverts to Confirmed. The entry itself, and any data the member has supplied, remain theirs and remain exportable.

2. Listing, verification and access

Any industrial or logistics property agent may be listed in the register at no cost, and may verify and correct their own entry at no cost. Verification is not a grade of membership, and it does not grant access to search the register.

Access to the register is granted only through paid membership. We may decline or withdraw membership where we cannot satisfy ourselves that the applicant is a practising industrial or logistics property professional.

3. Fees and renewal

Fees are those published on the membership page at the time of joining. Membership may be billed monthly or annually; annual billing is charged for twelve months in advance. Fellow membership is charged for twelve months in advance and renews annually. Fees are reviewed annually and any change is notified in advance. Either party may end membership on one month's written notice. A lapsed membership loses the badge, the designation and the priority placement, and the entry reverts to a confirmed listing.

Courses and modules are included in membership at no additional cost. Sitting the European Industrial Property Professional examination is charged at €100 for a first sitting, payable before the examination is taken, and the pass mark is 75%. A candidate may sit the examination as many times as they wish: further sittings are charged at €100 each. Examination fees are not refundable.

4. The register — what you may not do

The register is a compiled database in which EIREA holds database right. Membership grants you a personal, non-transferable right to search and read it. You must not, and must not permit anyone else to:

  • extract, scrape, copy or systematically collect the register or any substantial part of it;
  • re-utilise, publish, resell, sublicense or otherwise make the register available to any third party;
  • use automated means to query the register, other than any interface we expressly provide;
  • retain records of the register beyond the ordinary use of your membership.

These prohibitions apply to a substantial part of the contents whether obtained directly or indirectly, and survive the end of your membership.

5. Contact reveals and audit

Access to the register is logged. Contact details are released through a recorded reveal. Every page served carries an invisible, account-specific marker, and planted records exist in the register so that any extraction can be identified as such. You consent to that logging as a condition of access.

6. Your own listing

You are responsible for the accuracy of your own listing and the details you supply. You confirm you are entitled to provide the personal data of any colleagues you add. You may ask us to correct or remove your listing at any time.

7. Conduct

Members agree to act honestly and competently, to comply with the law of the markets in which they operate, and not to bring the association or the profession into disrepute. We may suspend or expel a member who breaches these terms, and will say so publicly where we do.

8. Intellectual property

EIREA's name, marks, the register and our publications remain our property. Nothing in these terms transfers any ownership to a member.

9. Liability

The register is compiled and maintained by EIREA. While we take care, we do not warrant that it is complete or error-free. To the extent permitted by law, we exclude liability for decisions taken on the basis of it.

10. Governing law

These terms are governed by the law of the jurisdiction in which EIREA is incorporated, which will be published here on registration.
